Installation & Security Guide

Windows SmartScreen: If you see a blue "Windows protected your PC" box, click More info and then Run anyway. This warning appears because our new installer is still building reputation with Microsoft.
Antivirus Exclusions: MU Online clients can sometimes be flagged as "False Positives." For the best experience, add the folder C:\InfinityMU to your Antivirus exclusion list.
Administrator Rights: Please run the installer as Administrator to ensure all game components are registered correctly.

Antivirus Warning: LiveGuard.dll / Main.exe Flagged or Removed

Seeing a warning about LiveGuard.dll or main.exe? This is typically a false positive. Due to the protective packing of our anti-cheat and older game files, modern antivirus software may occasionally trigger a false positive.

If your antivirus removed or quarantined the file, restore LiveGuard.dll or main.exe from quarantine. After restoring it, add an exclusion for your entire game folder in your antivirus or Windows Security. Once done, run the launcher again (ideally as Administrator).
